Successful conclusion of the second round and the beginning of the third round of technical and vocational training programs of the Atefi Charity Foundation

Today, Monday, 23 June 2025, in a grand ceremony with the broad presence of government officials and private sector activists, the second round of technical and vocational training programs of the Atefi Charity Foundation ended and at the same time, the third stage of these training courses was launched.

Abdul Zahir “Ershad”, Deputy Director of the Atefi Charity Foundation, presented a comprehensive report on the activities, goals and achievements of this charitable institution to the attendees.

He announced that in the third round of these programs, 100 young people and needy people from the community had registered in various technical and vocational fields, including (mobile phone repairs, tailoring and computers), and they are currently taking these courses.

According to him, these trainings are designed to empower individuals to enter the job market and reduce the problem of unemployment.

Al-Hajj Hafiz Mirza Mohammad Abu “Mansour”, the head of the Department of Labor and Social Affairs, also mentioned the department’s extensive programs in the field of technical training, announcing the graduation of 2,000 people this year, and called the role of charitable institutions such as the Atefi Charity Foundation vital in completing these efforts.

He emphasized that cooperation between government and charitable institutions can lead to improving the quality of education and increasing job opportunities.

Mavlavi Abdul Matin “Adel”, the head of youth affairs at the Herat Provincial Information and Culture Department, also emphasized the importance of investing in the country’s youth in his speech, saying: “Today’s youth are the builders of this country’s tomorrow. Teaching them technical skills will not only help create jobs, but also contribute to the economic and social growth of society.”

Subsequently, Alhaj Mufti Nematullah “Mohtasem”, Deputy Director of Education of Herat, also appreciated the effective role of charitable institutions in supporting technical and vocational education and said: “In the current situation, the participation of public institutions such as the Atefi Charity Foundation can fill the gaps in the education system, especially in the employment sector, and have a significant impact on the economy of the community.”

At the end of this ceremony, the Atefi Charity Foundation presented teachers with a plaque of appreciation, and graduates of the classes (mobile phone repairs and tailoring) were awarded valid certificates and professional tool kits (including tools and supplies needed to start work).

The ceremony ended with a prayer reading by Mavlavi Hamidullah “Ghiyasi”, Head of Culture and Arts of the Herat Provincial Information and Culture Department, for the success of the trainees and graduates of these courses.
