Capacity Building for Teachers in Farsi District, Herat; The Atefi Charity Foundation Held a Training Seminar for 65 Teachers

On 27th of August 2025, the Herat Provincial Education Department, in cooperation with the Atefi Charity Foundation, held a training seminar for 65 teachers in Farsi District.

At the beginning of the program, Yaser Ahmad Shabanpour, a representative of the Atefi Charity Foundation, provided information about the foundation’s activities in the education sector and capacity building for teachers over the past four years. He emphasized that supporting teachers and paying attention to the quality of education are among the foundation’s priorities.

Maulvi Mohammad Hijrat, the education director of Farsi district, thanked the Atefi Charity Foundation and called holding such programs a serious necessity for teachers, saying: “Farsi district is one of the most remote and deprived areas of Herat and needs more attention in the education sector.”

A number of teachers, representing other participants, also expressed their appreciation for holding this seminar and described it as a basic need to improve the teaching process and better treatment of students.

In this seminar, topics such as the goals of education, principles of dealing with students, new teaching methods, and other educational topics were presented by two members of the district’s professional development department.

The program ended in a cordial atmosphere with the recitation of prayers and the presentation of certificates to the participants.
