With the aim of improving the quality of teaching and professional capabilities of teachers, a capacity building seminar was held for (81) school teachers in Adraskan District, Herat Province. This training program was held by the Department of Education in cooperation with the Atefi Charity Foundation at the Hazrat Omar (RA) Grand Mosque in Adraskan District.

At the opening of this seminar, Mavlavi Abdul Batin Ataei, the Director of Education in Adraskan District, called holding such seminars valuable for improving the capacity of teachers and expressed his appreciation for the kind attention of the Department of Education and the Atefi Charity Foundation to hold such seminars in remote districts.

In this seminar, teachers from primary, middle and high schools from different villages and areas of that district were present. The topics presented included: new teaching methods, educational psychology of students, use of teaching aids, classroom management and effective assessment of students, and principles of education and upbringing within the framework of the country’s educational curriculum.

One of the teachers participating in the seminar said: “We need to constantly learn about new educational methods so that we can better educate the next generation.”

At the end of the program, certificates of participation were distributed to all participants.

Meanwhile, officials of the Atefi Charity Foundation noted that similar programs are underway in other districts.
