Atefi Foundation, on Tuesday 21st November 2023 held ending ceremony of its 6 projects and graduation of 80 apprentices with the participation of official representatives of information and culture directorate, education directorate, labor and social affairs directorate, foreign affairs representative, vice president of Afghanistan pharmaceutical union, press, religious scholars, community elders, institutions, associations and cultural characters, youth and teenagers at the in conference hall of information and culture directorate of Herat province.
In the ceremony initiation stage after the recitation of verses of holy Quran by Ghari Mohammad Nader “Sharifi”, Abdul Zahir “Ershad” deputy of Aefi Foundation as praised the participants and program team, then presented related information to the participants about the six conducted projects (School, capacity development, vocation training, assistance, faithfulness and scholarship) and stated that the cost of the projects is over AFN 5132228.
Subsequently, Movlavi Abdul Qayom “Wasiq” sub-directorate of labor affairs of Herat province, as congratulated apprentices’ graduation, pointed out to the importance of learning vocational skills in jobs creation and economic growth of families and stated that: without appropriate financial situation people face with numerous challenges and cannot continue their lives as it is expected to be. Additionally, he requested young generation to study for their future and pursue learning their favorite vocational skills to never face with financial challenges.
Labor sub-directorate of Herat province expressed gratitude towards Atefi Foundation that has prepared the ground of vocational trainings for youths and teenagers and requested other charity institutions to facilitate such programs for the future generation of the country.
Movalvai Abdul Jalil “Mozamil” deputy of education directorate of Herat province during his speech pointed to the agreement between the education directorate of Herat province and Atefi foundation, which this foundation has implemented various significant activities in capacity development of teachers in remote areas, aids to the in-need district public schools’ students, motivational, cultural and informative programs for 12th grade students in center of the province and enrolling 400 orphan children in public schools that are appreciated and considered to being performed based on suitable and accepted standards.
Subsequently, Samiullah one of the graduates of the tailoring trainings in representation of his fellows expressed his gratitude to the Atefi Foundation’s services in relation to the tailoring trainings. Furthermore he stated that these trainings were beneficial to himself and his fellows and can be counted as an alternative for unbeneficial and difficult previous job experiences.
In the end, Movlavi Ahmadullah “Motaqi” directorate of Information and culture directorate of Herat Province referring to the current security condition which has been ensured by Islamic Emirates of Afghanistan, considered this chance as a golden situation for the young generation to utilize and strive more to educate and develop themselves towards a brighter future. Directorate of Information and culture added: youth are the capital of our homeland and should improve their job-related and academic capacities. The Atefi Foundation’s actions which has paved the ground for technical and vocational trainings is appreciated and we hope that other charity institutions maintain such innovations to the community.
At the ceremony ending, certificates and valuable plaques which have been prepared by the Atefi Foundation was presented to the cooperating administration’s officials and graduation certification were offered to the 80 graduates in various departments of (tailoring, bag-weaving and mobile repair) by officials.
