A two-day seminar titled “Effective Decision-Making and Problem-Solving in the Workplace” was held on the 01th and 02th of Dec 2025, organized by the Directorate of Staff Affairs of the Herat Governor’s Office in collaboration with the Atefi Charity Foundation.
A total of 45 officers and managers from various departments of Emirate institutions in Herat participated in this training program.
Throughout the program, specialized topics were presented on effective decision-making methods, techniques for analyzing and solving problems, managing challenges, and improving administrative performance. The seminar was facilitated and delivered by Ali Ahmad “Amiri,” lecturer at the Public Policy Department of Herat University. It included group work and practical exercises designed to strengthen the managerial and applied skills of the participants.
At the conclusion of the two-day program, Abdul-Zahir “Arshad,” Deputy of the Atefi Charity Foundation, spoke about the organization’s efforts and initiatives aimed at capacity-building for government employees, particularly in the most remote districts of Herat. He emphasized the continuation of such collaborations.
According to him, holding such programs plays a significant role in enhancing professional capacity, increasing managerial confidence, improving decision-making processes within government departments, and facilitating the exchange of experiences among managers.
The seminar concluded with a recitation of prayers and the distribution of certificates to the participants.
