Atefi Charity Foundation held a grand ceremony in Herat City to honor and support 243 graduates of tailoring, mobile phone repair, and computer training programs through the distribution of certificates and work toolkits.
The event took place at Setara Asia Hall and was attended by a number of Emirate officials, representatives of government departments, partner organizations, and local media outlets. Participants included the heads of the Governor’s Office Human Resources Department, the Department of Labor and Social Affairs, the Department of Education, as well as representatives from the Departments of Justice, Municipality, Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, Craftsmen’s Association, and Hajj and Religious Affairs.
The program commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by internationally recognized Qari Mohammad Javid Akbari. This was followed by the reading of a message from the Board of Leadership of Atefi Charity Foundation. Subsequently, the Deputy Director of the Foundation presented a report highlighting the organization’s activities and achievements during the year 1404 (2025–2026).
In his report, he emphasized that Atefi Charity Foundation has consistently worked to provide technical and vocational training opportunities aimed at creating employment prospects and promoting self-reliance among vulnerable youth.
During the event, the Head of Human Resources of the Governor’s Office, the Head of Labor and Social Affairs, the President of the Herat Provincial Union of Charity Foundations, and the Deputy Head of the Craftsmen’s Union delivered speeches, describing the Foundation’s efforts in youth empowerment as highly valuable and expressing their appreciation for its services.
One of the graduates also spoke on behalf of the graduating class, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to receive free vocational training. In addition, a computer-program graduate who had taken the initiative to develop an educational website for Atefi Charity Foundation was specially recognized and honored.
In another part of the ceremony, Atefi Charity Foundation presented certificates of appreciation and gifts to partner institutions in recognition of their cooperation and support. Furthermore, certificates and work toolkits were symbolically distributed to two graduates by the guest delegation.
Other notable segments of the event included a theatrical performance highlighting the importance of vocational skills, an educational quiz competition with prizes, and the final distribution of certificates and work toolkits to all graduates.
The ceremony concluded with a closing prayer led by Mawlawi Ghiasi, marking the end of an event that once again highlighted the vital role of technical and vocational education in empowering youth and reducing unemployment.
