Based on a cooperation agreement between Atefi Charity Foundation and the Herat Municipality, a one-day training seminar was conducted to enhance legal, security, social, cultural, and urban reconstruction awareness for 140 gozar representatives and heads of local councils in Herat city.
The seminar was delivered by Dr. Abdul Khaliq “Haqani” and covered topics including the role of gozar representatives in maintaining local order, the legal duties of local councils, legal awareness for representatives, resolution of minor disputes, strengthening civic culture, and promoting community participation in urban reconstruction.
Mawlawi Abdul Ahad “Khairkhwa,” Head of Urban Governance at Herat Municipality; Sayed Abdul Rashid “Fardani,” Cultural Officer of Atefi University; and Abdul Zahir “Ershad,” Deputy of Atefi Charity Foundation — in the presence of Mawlawi Ghulam Hazrat “Amini,” Head of Cultural and Social Affairs, and Hamid “Afzali,” Director General of Gozar Representatives and Local Council Leaders at Herat Municipality — expressed appreciation for the active participation of attendees and described the program as an effective step toward strengthening local governance and coordination between communities and government institutions.
At the conclusion of the seminar, certificates of participation were distributed to all attendees, and organizers emphasized the continuation of similar training programs in the future.
This series of programs will continue in the coming period.
